Featuring renowned speakers, thought leaders and changemakers around the world, the IDEAS Festival is a series of webinars inviting global leaders to speak on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access and Sustainability.
In our webinar on Green Schools and Industry 4.0, we were honoured to host an audience with Emeritus Minister for Education of Bhutan, Prof TS Powdyel. Prof Powdyel is the kingdom’s first democratically elected Minister of Education and moved Bhutan towards fulfilling the country’s constitutional mandate for education.
A champion of institutional integrity, national self-respect, moral literacy and gross national happiness, Prof. Powdyel has expressed his vision of holistic education in his book My Green School which has been translated into several languages.
He is a recipient of the Gusi Peace Prize, the Global Education Award, and the Distinguished Service Award for his pioneering work in Education as well as the Coronation Gold Medal 2008 and the Institutional Award: The Honour of Druk Thuksey 2012.
